Function Description:
The FRAME system variable is used to control how to display the frame for all images, underlays, and clipped xrefs.

If the value of FRAME system variable changed, the IMAGEFRAME, DWFFRAME, PDFFRAME, DGNFRAME, and XCLIPFRAME settings are changed to match the value of FRAME.
System Variable Value:
0: do not display and plot frame
Temporarily display frame when selecting or previewing objects
1: display and plot frame
2: display the frame, but do not to plot it
3: display the frame, but do not to plot it
Note: only when the frame settings for a certain object is different from other objects, the settings of FRAME restore to 3.
