Function Description:

The DIMASSOC system variable is used to control the association of dimension object and whether to explode dimensions.

System Variable Value:

0: reate exploded dimensions. There is no association between different dimension elements. Line, arc, arrow, and dimension text are all created as different objects.
1: create non association objects. Each element is a single objects in dimension. If one definition point changed, all dimension updates.
2: create association objects. Each element is a single objects in dimension. One or more definition points are associated with points on geometric objects in dimension. If moving association points, dimension location, direction, and value all update.
