Function Description:
This command is used to batch print drawings with the same drawing frame attribute.
The batch printing function in GstarCAD 2025 has been comprehensively improved based on user feedback and is now applicable to more scenarios. The main improvements are as follows:
Interface adjustment effects are as follows:
## Graphic Selection and Filtering
(1) Filter Base (Improved)
"Filter Base" now includes an "Xref" option, which only appears when there is an external reference in the drawing.
(2) Specify frame (Improved)
The old version of "Specify frame" only supported a single selection box, which could not fully meet user requirements. The following adjustments have been made: - Multiple box selections are supported after clicking "Specify frame" - Provide the traversal option, press the right mouse button when the box is prompted to select the Traversal Model, Traversal Layout and Model + Layout, as shown below.
When you select the appropriate option, you will directly iterate over all graphs in the model or/and layout and filter the boxes that meet the criteria.
(3) Exclusion Setting (new)
Some graphs may be wrongly judged as boxes in the filtering process, which can be preliminarily filtered by this ratio. If the area of some graph boxes screened is less than a certain proportion of the area of the maximum graph box, they are removed from the screening result.
The print Settings and print options are basically the same as those in the regular print dialog, but filtered and rearranged. If the current model or layout has a default page configuration, you can directly read the current space print configuration Settings, if there is no page setting, you can also complete the Settings in this dialog box.
(1) Page Setup (new)
Displays a list of any named and saved page setups in the drawing. You can base the current page setup on a named page setup saved in the drawing, or you can create a new named page setup based on the current settings in the Plot dialog box by clicking Add.
(2) Plotter Name (improved)
The new version of bulk printing will read the default printer in the OPTIONS dialog box without additional configuration, and if you often use the same printing device, you can directly go to the "Print and publish" TAB of the Options dialog box to set the default output device.
(3) Plot to File (improved)
The old version has a drop-down box, in addition to print to file, print to printer and Print to layout. This setting is not consistent with the regular dialog box, and it is easy to ignore the provided function of print to layout. Therefore, it is changed to the same check box as the print dialog box, and print to file is automatically checked when selecting PDF, DWF and other printing devices, and not checked when selecting actual printer. If checked, Plt will be printed.
(4) Multi-sheet file (new)
This option is only activated when the PDF printing driver is selected. When printing, a multi-sheet PDF file will be automatically merged into a single PDF file instead of a separate PDF file.
(5) Paper Size
This function remains the same and only provides a choice of base paper.
(6) Number of copies (new)
The number of copies can be set when using a physical printer, and the function is the same as the regular plot dialog box.
(7) Plot scale
This functionality remains the same, providing only a selection of base proportions.
(8) Plot Style
This functionality remains unchanged.
(9) Drawing Orientation (improved)
Default to the old "Automatic Rotate" option, add landscape and portrait options, if landscape or portrait is selected, force the graphic to be positioned in landscape or portrait.
(10) Plot offset
This functionality remains unchanged.
(11) Plot options (new)
Shade Plot, plot style, plot with transparency, and plot stamp functions are consistent with the regular Plot dialog box.
File options can be set when you select PDF, DWF and other drivers or select the physical printing device and tick "Plot to File".
(1) Prefix Name (improved)
By default, the filename of the current drawing is read as a prefix, which can be edited according to your own needs.
(2) Extension (removed)
The extension is directly related to the selected driver and does not need to be shown again.
(3) Starting number (new)
When printing in different batches, the starting number can be set according to actual needs.
(4) Digit (new)
Determine the number of bits, such as the number is two digits, the number is 01, 02....... 10, 11; If the number is three digits, the number is 001, 002...... 010, 011.
(5) Save Path (improved)
The default path of the old version is "My documents", improved to display the source file path name by default, you can edit or add a subordinate directory again.
(6) Path selection drop-down box (new)
Three options are provided: the source file path, source file path \PDF, and the default path of the options setting. If you want to use one of the following two paths, you can directly switch between them.
(7) Browse
You can browse to select another path.
(8)Duplicate processing options
The function is unchanged, only the text has been adjusted.
(1) Plot Order (improved)
The old version provided options for drawing order, left and right, up and down, and reverse order. This improvement provides a total of 9 sorting methods, eight of which are sorted according to different directions: top left to bottom right, bottom left to top right, top left to bottom right, top right to bottom left, top right to bottom left, top right to bottom left, bottom left to top left, bottom left to top right, bottom right to top left, and one is arranged according to the selection order (suitable for multiple box selections). The first button is selected by default: from top left to bottom right, the border of the selected button changes to blue.
(2) Check and Adjust (added)
The old version can only show which frames are filtered in the graph. If there is a wrong judgment, it cannot be deleted and adjusted. In addition, the old version can only support one paper size set, and cannot adapt to the printing of different format drawings. After this improvement, clicking the check and adjust button will pop up a dialog box, showing the number, size, proportion, paper and other information of the filtered picture box, as shown in the following figure:
When the dialog box pops up, the screening drawing box will be highlighted on the drawing surface (the old version has been implemented). This improvement will display the drawing number on the drawing surface, and the number corresponds to the number in the dialog box. You can judge whether the drawings are correct or not through the size or point preview.
GstarCAD 2026 also adds the sequential preview function. Users need to manually click on any one of the frame records to enter the preview, then press the space bar to enter the preview of the next frame record, and the frame highlighting will be displayed on the frame record currently being previewed, which is convenient for the users to confirm the frame record currently being previewed, and then press the space bar to exit from the preview state and return to the dialog box of checking and adjusting when you are previewing to the last frame record.
In addition, you can also adjust the printing ratio, paper, and printing direction to meet the needs of printing different sizes of drawings at a time.
(3) Output Options (improved)
Four options are provided: print to layout, split into DWG, split into DXF and print directly.
